Augmented Analogue Synthesis

One on the mottos of Sines & Squares festival was to expose analogue modular synthesis sound to unexplored territories. As a result, a number of proposals combined Analogue Synthesis with digital synthesis, game-audio, augmented reality and immersive systems (3D virtual experience with the Oculus rift) or theoretical discussions in the domain of history, Social Capital, Cultural trends or novel reprentations of waves. The festival provided the analogue synthesis community and the audience with the possibility to experience its soundworld with a 3D sound tool to really appreciate synthesis in great detail and open an aesthetics debate. Regardless of whether it is analogue or digital, the concerts and demonstration in the Martin Harris Centre and the John Thaw provided the basis for discussion, with the baby MANTIS System with 27 genelec speakers)
